Can we have custom maps back on the server?
Looks like recently there are only stockmaps on.

there are customs in the current mapcycle.

we tend to change the mapcycle around depending on how many people are playing on the server.

i just found "couple" (read: 50+) custom/classic maps (not just .bsp files but all files, including .res files too!) on my HD..

It would be fun to play some of those "oldies" again!

- dod_koln_b3 (b3 is better than koln_classic imho)
- dod_seg3c_b2 (b2 is better than seg3_classic imho)
- dod_heutau_b1 (b1 is better than heutau_classic imho)
- dod_oslo_classic
- dod_dam
- dod_mainz
- dod_sicily

then few others which are not "classics" but they they might be big enuf for 32 players.

- dod_fabrik_b2
- dod_toulon_b2

Hey,

we have most, if not all, of those maps on the server already. They might not be in the rotation though.

But you can always ask an admin on the server for a specific map to be played. I usually ask people if they want to nominate maps for a vote when enough players are on.

Yeah it would be nice if there was more custom maps on.. Very Happy

Possibly delete the likes of Anzio, Jagd, Donner, Meredet.

Same here Sky I would normally do a vote on maps keeps the people interested.. plus killing me more into the bargain.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to propose a very, VERY nice map - dod_festung (dod_festung_v4)
I think it deserves to be added to the map rotation Very Happy

Description:
Allied P.O.W.s held in an impregnable mountain fortress have overpowered
their guard and rearmed themselves.

The only escape route is via the cablecar to the valley below.

Allies score 10 personal points and 10 team points for a successful escape.

Axis score 5 team points for every empty cablecar reaching the escape point.

hey guys,
I would prefer to run the mapcycle like that :

Custom MAP
Avalanche
Custom MAP
Anzio
Custom MAP
Donner
Custom MAP
Harrington
....
....

I really like your server but its no fun to play bad scripted Custom maps, one team is getting 4/6 Flags and instead of getting Fullcap or trying it theyre gonna camp the spawn or hold this until the MAP is over.
Its no question of "What i wanna do". Most Custom Maps are scripted like that, a small way in the Middle where both sides Clash. But ...
Its no fun to run out of spawn shoot an enemy and die of 5 nades round for round.

On Normal DOD Maps, like Avalanche or Anzio ... theyre always chances to get around the mess. And important ! To get a fullcap !
Take a MAP like Harrington, 3 Ways and its very good balanced.

Left overs is the last good Server from a dying Game.
Shit on DOD:SOURCE !
